Cosmo Julius Cosma and Wanda Venus Fairywinkle-Cosma are Timmy Turner's fairy godparents in the Nickelodeon animated series The Fairly OddParents. Assigned to him due to the miserable life he was leading, they grant whatever he wishes for, often with errant results. Cosmo is the dim-witted half of the couple, known for having inadvertently caused numerous disasters since he was born. Wanda is the more sensible one, though her warnings about the possible consequences of Timmy's thoughtless wishes are often ignored. As a result of one of Timmy's wishes, Cosmo and Wanda were later blessed with the birth of their own son, Poof, in the show's sixth season.
Appearances in Halloween specials[]
In the series' lone Halloween episode, the second season's "Scary Godparents", Cosmo and Wanda are able to freely accompany Timmy when he goes trick-or-treating, since they're able to blend in with the humans on Halloween without fear of being exposed. However, to be on the safe side, they dress up as a janitor and a nurse, respectively. At the beginning of the episode, Timmy wishes he had a Jack-o-Bot costume, but Cosmo and Wanda are unable to grant that wish because only four Jack-o-Bot costumes were made as prizes in a contest, and Trixie Tang, Tad and Chad, and Veronica bribed the judges into naming them the winners. They are able to grant Timmy's later wish that everyone's costumes were "Real and Scary", which results in the couple taking on a troll-esque appearance but also losing their natural magic abilities. This becomes a problem when the Popular Kids, now changed into the real Jack-o-Bots, combine into the Pumpkinator and prepare to blow up the Earth. Fortunately, Wanda manages to change herself back to a fairy by giving herself the wand and floating crown from Wendell Bender's Tooth Fairy costume, and then undoes Timmy's wish.
Although The Fairly OddParents did not get another proper Halloween episode in its ten-season run, Cosmo and Wanda appeared with their son Poof in an online-exclusive short, released during the show's seventh season. In it, Wanda is trying to feed Poof broccoli for dinner, saying he won't get to go trick-or-treating if he doesn't finish it. However, Poof is then turned into a monster by the light of the full moon.
