Mr. Jones is a supporting antagonist-turned deuteragonist and anti-villain in Toy Story of Terror.
Some time before the events of the story, Ron, the Manager of Sleep Well, obtained Mr. Jones, and trained him to retrieve toys from visitors and bring them into his office, setting them into a basket and ringing a bell to alert Ron of it.
When Bonnie Anderson and her mother arrived at the hotel for the night, Mr. Jones, after a period of time, brought the entire toy gang, along with Combat Carl, to Ron, eating one of Mr. Potato Head's arms in the process. He then proceeded to rest, until he noticed Jessie sneaking toward the curtain hiding Ron's scheme. He attacked her, but after Jessie noticed Mr. Potato Head's arm and Combat Carl's hand, which Mr. Jones had eaten some time before the main events of the story, in the back of Mr. Jones's mouth, she pushed her head and arm until his mouth, retrieving Mr. Potato Head's arm and Combat Carl's hand before escaping. And with the help of Mr. Potato Head's arm, Jessie tricked Mr. Jones into yanking off Ron's curtain, revealing Ron's scheme to Bonnie and her mother. And after Jessie froze to avoid being discovered by the humans, Mr. Jones retrieved her, bringing her to the basket, before ringing Ron's bell, further exposing his owner and cementing his redemption. Later, Ron fed Mr. Jones in a dog dish, which Mr. Jones proceeded to eat. It is unknown what happened to him afterwards though it was shown they he was tranquilized and sent to an iguana sanctuary where he lived better and redeemed himself.
Though he is an iguana, Mr. Jones seems to act more like a dog. He follows his training by his master, Ron, closely, even inadvertently exposing his toy-napping scheme to Bonnie and her mother to do so. Its implied however that he may not really be evil at all and was waiting for a chance to better himself and used his training to his advantage.
